Welcome to Fresh Coast Yoga, a studio in Downtown Houghton co-owned by Mary Jennings and Drew Cramer. Our space is open, bright, clean; our classes are top-notch with certified instructors. Our business model is unique and members are the heart of our yoga community.
You’ll find the studio at 222 Shelden Ave, Houghton, Michigan.
We’re on the second story and there are two entrances with stairs up to the studio: You can enter in the front door between The Print Shop and Otter River Outfitters or on the back parking deck, you can enter and come up the back stairs. Parking is available on the street out front or on the back parking deck.
New to the studio?
We keep our policies simple: Come early to class (or enter silently on those days time escapes you), no shoes in the studio, sign in at the beginning of class and make sure you have an updated waiver on file, notify instructors of any injuries, modify your practice as needed, and, after class, please clean and replace props.
Payment for classes:
Payment for class is always due at the time service is rendered.
Cash and credit/debit cards are acceptable forms of payment.
We will not give refunds for classes taken or partially taken.
Special Conditions & Injuries Policy
Anyone with series medical conditions or injuries should consult a doctor prior to participating in any physical activity, including yoga, Pilates, or other fitness class.
We encourage you to listen to your body, taking the appropriate modifications.
The practice should not hurt.
It is your responsibility to inform the instructor if you are pregnant or have any injuries prior to the start of class.
Young Student Policy
Any student under 18 years of age must have a parent/guardian’s signature on the waiver.
Our classes are designed for students 16 years of age and older. Students 13-16 years of age may attend classes when a parent or guardian is in attendance for the same class providing they want to attend the class and participate.
Any exceptions to these policies must be addressed with management prior to class.
Minors may not sit in the reception area while the parent or guardian takes a class.
Your privacy is very important to us. Any personal information you choose to give us will only be used to help us provide you with the highest quality services, products, and support.
We will never share your personal or financial information with any other party. We do not share bank or credit card information with any outside parties.
On some occasions it becomes necessary to close the studio due to inclement weather. Please check your email and/or look at Facebook for weather cancellations.
If Houghton schools are closed for weather, we are closed.
Pop-up “Snow Day” classes may be offered on occasion. These classes will be announced on the website and on Facebook at least 2 hours prior to the start of class.
6:00 AM classes will be canceled the night before, whenever possible
